Pain is real to us because our brain is powerfull. Pain is necessary for our survival, it let's us know when we are in danger and what we should stay away from. But to answer your question, in the end pain is not real it's a fake message designed to hurt so that you listen. Nothing in this world is "REAL" it's just atoms, atoms, and lots of atoms, they are not hot or warm or cold, or anything, that is just all senses our brain has created to keep us going. It is pretty wild to think how we have advanced and become what we are today.

Yes pain is really real and it exists until one continuously receives pain(electrochemical ) signals from his own body in particular part of his brain. Pain exists even one do not feel or perceive it. That is a state of above said brain signal when its strength is below a natural threshold level or its transmission to brain is interrupted by any means or its sensation in brain is disturbed. The pain is an indication of some disorders taking place in body. pain is a product of body's information system that stimulates to do some thing for some thing going wrong in our body or mind's disorders. It some times works great for you and some time disturbs you a lot. Any way pain is a reality of life.

Well I guess it depends on your philosophy on what is and isn't real but I certainly think so having felt pain before...

It also depends highly on different factors, is it emotional pain? or physical pain?

Physical pain does have notable signs when the body is examined to show damage to nerve cells produces a message that is sent to the brain, which we then experience as pain

Emotional pain is much more difficult, from greif, being heartbroken, "backstabbed", simply just sad or whatever the case... its more a state of being than anything else...

My conclusion would be to say pain is real to me... however you may feel differently, I'm no expert...

i've experienced pain... pain physically is not as bad as pain mentally. I used to cut... it hurt me a lot more mentally then it did physically. Pain is real, but, some people don't even experience it as much as others do.

You bet it is. If you have never felt pain, then do not invite it. It will make you cry, holler scream and feel very uncomfortable and sometimes make you in need of a doctor attention.

pain is that feeling direct from your senses, it may be from touching, smelling... but sometimes pain is just all in the mind. it doesn't really have to be done to you because when you think you are hurt, then you feel hurt...
