why are all the commentators and some of the eagles players sound ing like terrell owens was the cause of all there problems last year. it wasnt t.o that gave up 49 points vs. denver, it wasnt t.o. that fell behind 30 points vs kansas city, it wasnt t.o. that threw the ball right to roy williiams vs. dallas. nobody complained when westbrook was holding out of camp for a new contract., no one said anything when trotter wanted more money before he bolted to the redskins. t.o didnt lose 42-0 to seattle on monday night. they keep saying mcnabb looks good and hes nimble etc. he's like this every year before the season starts. he's a pro. he should be. what matters is what he does in the playoffs. the eagles is 5-6 in the playoffs since 2000. 1-3 in nfc championship games. 0-1 in superbowls. mcnabb has more than 6-7 interceptions in the playoffs. t.o isnt their problem, quick stat. owens, 20 tds in 21 games with eagles. 9-122 yards in superbowl 39

It's called "opportunity costs". By the Eagles dedicating so many resources to TO, they lost the ability to dedicate those same resources elsewhere. Turns out, by choosing that path, they chose the wrong path, now they have to back track and start over. Was it because TO was injured, or something bad happening? No, it was because he was gigantic whiney baby who also distracted the team from its central mission.

However, I do place some blame on management, because afterwall, did anyone expect anything different? I know I didn't.

T.O. just makes an easy target because he is so out spoken. Like him or hate him, he is one of the best receivers in football and when he helped the Eagles go to the Superbowl he was a God in Philly. When he played hurt in the Superbowl the media could not keep their mouth shut on how great and dedicated of a player he was. The guy makes a few comments after the Bowl about McNab (which where true) and he becomes a villain. The Eagles decided to put their money on Donovan and sided with him during all the controversy. Much like the Lakers did with Shaq and Kobe.

The bottom line is this: TO is a competitor. He might blow up after losing a game, but it is just that, a blow up. These are grown men and should take these temper tantrums with a grain of salt. But, if you are going to cry because your wide reciever said you looked a little tired during the game, what the heck are you doing in the NFL???

I think the Eagles will rue the day they traded TO, just like the Lakers are now that Shaq is wearing another championship ring.

TO will go down in football history as the biggest waste of talent ever.

True, he got 20 tds in 21 games with the Eagles and went 9-122 in the Superbowl - but then he has the nerve to publicly criticize McNabb? Just who did he think was throwing him the ball for all those great stats?

Same in San Francisco. 42 touchdowns in 3 years and then he publicly criticizes Jeff Garcia? wtf? Even after leaving the team he kept criticizing Garcia and calling him gay!

TO is a whiney 8-year old trapped in a man's body. Now Parcell's is finding out what a pain in the a** it is to have a whiney 8-year old on your team.

TO is already burning his bridges in Dallas and will no-doubt end up playing in the CFL. He'll be remembered as the Mike Tyson of football; a bright early career followed by a lot of wasted potential, eventually ending up broke. (No hall of fame either. May end up in prison for steriods)

Update: Now he is missing meetings and getting fined! Dallas should dump the Terrible Cancer Owens now and salvage their season early.

Well the guy don't know how to keep his big mouth shut. Not only was he putting down McNabb but he was doing it to the other players, and coaches. This here disrupted the team. Not only that T.O. also was putting down the organization too. T.O. did the same thing with the 49er too.

T.O. was only a player whom the coach traded the Eagles, Troy Vincent, and Bobby Taylor to get. It is solely the coach's fault that T.O. even got on the team. T.O. is a disaster no matter where he goes, and the only way he could hurt the Eagles was thru being traded for by a very dumb coach.

I agree with you. I really wish that he would just be more professional about the way things were going though. Play to win and keep your mouth shut.
Also, if you think a wide receiver is ever the cause of all your problems then you have got to pull your head out of the sand and look around. He is not supposed to be the leader on offense. That's why most QB's make more money than anyone else.
Just really hope he'll keep his mouth shut in Dallas.

Well you know they can't blame "Saint" McNabb. After all he only played INJURED to try and make himself look good. Boy was that joke. Maybe the COACH should share some blame. He did NOTHING to try to control the situation. Yeah T.O. was complaining about McNabb last year, and why shouldn't he? Look how McNabb was PLAYING. He stunk. He wouldn't sit until after T.O. was sat, that way it looked like it was more T.O. then HIM.

I think what they're referring to is the fact that the rift between Donovan and T.O. caused a huge split in the locker room. There were hard feelings caused that still exist today. That's not going to make for a "fine-tuned machine".

Don't get me wrong, I think T.O. is very arrogant and self-centered.

With that being said, he was used as the scapegoat for Philly's debacle last season. Without him, they wouldn't have gotten to the Super Bowl the year before.

High Five to Dallas owner Jerry Jones for sticking up for TO during an interview after the 49ers game.

TO has had his troubles before but I think he deserves a chance, I wish the media would stop trying to create a situation where one does not exist.
