I'm tired of hearing people explain why they stay with someone who cheated on them.Do they just have no self-respect or do they like it when someone treats them like sh!t?Everyone knows that once a cheat always a cheat{Unless the cheater gets couseling}Why do people set such low standards on how they want to be treated?

It was hard for me to divorce my husband after he cheated on me. We had a history together, and it was a thrashing of my old identity with a man I grew up with. It will always be hard when you love the person and you hate what they did to you. I did move on. I wish the affair never happened, but times change and I am on my own now. It is not easy, but I am far more selective.

I believe that even when a relationship "ends", you do not cut all ties. There are always things to remind you. We can only hope that taking care of ourselves in normal daily life will fill in the gaps.It is strange that people cling on to a dead end relationships. Perhaps the "last straw " has not been dropped on them yet.

I think many people stay with their cheating bf's or gf's because they love them. Maybe they think they can't find anyone else. Or, they might wonder what was wrong with them to make the other cheat, and continue with that person to try and prove to themeselves or their significant other that they are better than whoever he/she cheated on them with. Who knows, everyone has their reasons. To each his/her own.

Thats what I ask myself too! My sister was happily married until she discovered that my brother-in-law cheated on her twice and that he has a 5 yr old daughter with this other lady! Can you believe she still wants to be with him and begs him after all that happened?

You partly answered your own question. No self respect. Fear of being alone. Low self esteem. Sometimes they are manipulated because of their low self esteem into thinking that nobody else will want them.

I just tell the woman to go... and then i delete her number off my phone infront of her and never speak to her again... and try and find me a decent 1. but so far i have had no luck, my phonebook is almost empty.

Some have low self esteem and some are just too lazy to try to find another, some just don't care because they cheat as well............

they want to get back at the guy later on in their relationship or she is one of those clingy types, or she is unsatisfied that he chose another girl over her in the middle of the relationship and wants to prove herself better or a combination of those last too, or girls like me don't care if he cheated but ONLY if it was just physically and some girls really love their man and can forgive them easily.

because of the fact that no one wants to feel pain, hurts & betrayal.. you trusted that person, you expect him/her to respect you and it's hard to get over it if you found out that they betrayed you.. and most of them stay because for them it's easier to deal with it and actually it's a form of self-denial.. and in fact i dont understand too why some people stay with a person like that (those who cheats over and over again and he/she keeps on forgiving and takin him/her back)!
