well, when i went to school there was 12 of anything in a dozen, but that was in the stoneage and alot has changed since then

that would be 12...a dozen equals 12 no matter what. It's kind of like "which weighs more, a ton of feathers or a ton of lead??". They both weigh the same because a ton is always a ton.
