The cold shower is used when you want to kill and erection because you don't want to masturbate or don't have the time right now but need to go out. Cold water causes the erection to go soft and the penis and scrotum to become smaller. The cold shower is not a masturbation technique but a method of keeping from masturbating.

I find it stimulating, but then again my climate is warm and I just started doing it this summer. I'm used to it now, so it doesn't matter for me. It's over 90 degrees outside on a sunny day here, and by the time I get home on my bike I'm so hot that the cold water feels great. I suppose the temperature of the tap water this time of year is 70-something degrees Fahrenheit. It feels awesome all over my body. The only place I try to keep warm is my penis itself. I also heard it's good for your health in general to bathe with cold water. I think I'd like to continue the habit through the winter, but I don't know how that will work out because our winters often go a little below freezing. That might be pushing it a little, but I might be able to get used to it if the weather changes slowly. Good luck!
Those who have their doubts about the benefits of bathing with cold water: Cold water bathing makes you less likely to get sick after your body gets used to the stress of it. It is also presumable that bathing that way slows the chemical reactions inside your body (as most of them are sped up by heat). I also remember reading someone's biography where their brother said they found out from a very old man that running cold water on yourself after bathing is good for extending your life. I also have a friend from India who said he heard the same thing at home (but he never had the nerve to do it on his own). This is hardly a new thing: I remember being taught in World History that the Spartans usually did not wear clothes at home even in the winter, and they regarded warm baths as something to be reserved for sick people.

Haha where did you hear this from? When you take a cold shower when you dont want to masturbate, it makes you lose concentration.
