The only reason people like to knock the PS3 is because they either can't get mom and dad to pony up that kind of dough on a system, or they can't afford it themselves. The 360 is crap, it overheats way to much (if you see 3 red lights then your 360 has died and gone to a better place). Plus the 360 is made in America so you know it is going to be bad workmanship, the PS3 is made in Japan and has great features. Why do you think Microsoft was in such a hurry to get the 360 out to market? It was because they knew if they released there system at the same time as Sony, they would get swallowed up. The only area that the 360 is better in is in the on-line games department, other then that Sony has every other category covered. The PS2 was the #1 selling console when it came out and the same will be true this time. If you like the 360 that's fine I'm happy for you, but don't knock the PS3 because you haven't even played it yet so how can you judge it.

how bad can it get? Pretty freaking bad, prices could further go up and games could be 100 a pop and not meet expectations with developers pulling out.
now change can to will. It wont be bad at all. It will have ever so minor improved graphics that the 360, but i believe that its easier to program for design will draw in programmers who may be wary at the start because of the high console price. Sony used to be the hardest system to program for, now i am hearing it is the simplest to append to and improve upon for maximum programming freedom.
also, the further increased prices and 100 a pop for games are just stuff i made up to point out how it could go worse. But i made those up, so its not like they are even rumors. It should pull a dead heat with the 360 soon enough and probably edge it out just a bit if this console generation goes an extended number of years. The Wii will have a cult market, but no major impact besides releasing some amazing first person games that almost make buying the Wii worth it for them alone.

in motostorm the movie 05 sony showed off a very fancy trailer
on 06 sony showed gameplay that looked ugly as the ps2
graphics so sony blowed its oppurtunity
