Why are people so anxious to get 2 points that they just type a * and move on?

What can you get with points besides the priviledge of asking yet another stupid question?

A couple of reasons:
1) They want the two points...weird

2) They want their real answer ositioned to the top of the list for you to see. By typing "a" then post...their place is set. They can then create a clever answer with the "edit"....or forget and go to dinner.

Those people are illiterate. They are unable to read the questions and in the same manner unable to answer them. They just like to click and put the pretty little stars all over the internet. Even if they would try to answer, they would be very similar to the people who do not use spell check.

usually when they put an * they're place holding. I guess some people need more time to think of the answer and feel that they have to be first. (Never got it myself.)

And you get nothing for your points other than the satifaction that you have wasted a great deal of your life.

That is merely pure unadulterated addiction compounded by greed. Gimme Gimme Gimme. Oh yes Gimme those two points. Oh yes ..... I'm caressing them. See, they are so tender and lovely. They are all mine. Thank you so much. Watch what I can do with these two brand new points. It's, oh yesss.... Yes, it s.... Feels so good, too. What would life be like without these brand spanking new two points?

It's obviously people who just surf the internet, looking for what wasn't lost to begin with, taking it as any other point-winning game.
