Oh yeah. Everybody had one of those days. Believe it or not, it is part of healthy process. Everyone has to go through all phase: happy, sad, bitchy, alert, cautious, shy, humor, etc. so forth. It is part of phase and it goes with our emotions. Emotions come from reality. Whatever you're going through, it affects on your emotions. It has nothing to do with who you are. You are fine and you love for who you are as your emotion experience the phases.

It is matter of time and if you know what affects you, just get out of there. For example: when I was much younger, I hung out with the people who were so judgmental and I learned that I didn’t want to hang out with whom so judgmental, I just walked out of it and have became happier. Just walk from negative energy. That is all. No need medication to assist with that... please keep this in your mind... because you are you, period.

Sounds like depression -- could be something more serious since it keeps coming back at you.

Without seeing a doctor or taking medication, all you could do is to distract yourself by doing something you love, like, enjoy ... etc and not think too much about what triggers your downs.

You could also try to understand it more and train yourself to get out of it with effort of sheer will. This is a bit harder but would give you more control of your life.

You could always go to a doctor and ask for help -- referral, medications and whatever is needed -- and see how things work out.

These are your options, you could mix them up or try them all.

good for you for reaching out and not giving in. life IS worth living. you might be clinically depressed. It is absolutely OK if you are. It is nothing to be ashamed of. many many people are depressed. and good news! it is not permanent. you can do things to help lift yourself out of the fog. do you have access to a clinic or to a support group or psychologist? understand this: what you're feeling is not your fault. many times we suffer from a chemical imbalance that we could never have predicted. do you have a creative outlet to express your sadness? sometimes just doodling with crayons can help. it sounds weird, but it does. whatever you do, don't give up. and do know that you absolutely don't have to feel this way any more. help is available. here's a starting point. http://www.nimh.nih.gov/healthinformation/depressionmenu.cfm

We all have days like that. I do all the time. But I remind myself all the things I have to be thankful for. All the blessings in my life which bring me joy. I remind myself that I have a better life than most people could even dream about, so I try to look on the bright side of life.
