Well because other ppl already found the question, and answered it. I mean there are millions of ppl I assume using yahoo of course the chances of you seeing a question, and answering it first are unlikely. Also, a lot of ppl give thoughtless answers that either make no sense, have little thought, or are insulting the asker. Usually the more thought you put into an answer to a question the lest likely you'll answer it first. Of course, if you really want to answer a question first heres a tip:
Type one character, then post it. Then click EDIT and give your answer. That way it kindda reserves your answer spot.

Back when I didn't know any better; I used to feel just as you do. It seemed the questions I liked the most; were the same ones that seemed to generate the most answers...and then I felt "lost in the shuffle." I finally figured out that it is sometimes better to wait. I honestly thought that by getting the first answer in, it provided an advantage. I no longer think so. You can always add a question to your "watch list" to see if this happens before you answer. One question generated 85 answers! I knew I had nothing better or different to offer so I skipped it.

Coz while you were typing your answer, many many lonely hearts out there are also furiously typing away, replying to the same question? Cheer up! Some days you win, some days you lose....just life!
