I had three C-Sections and also had cold in my third trimester, the doc told me that the baby is developed and taking medication would be ok, he recommended Robitussin. Good luck with your baby's birth.

i got sick twice in my pregnancy. the first one was bronchitis and the second one was a cold. the thing was, i couldn't tell if i was burning up from the cold or i was burning up because of the humidity and heat (the worse thing to go through while pregnant might i add). i was extremely tired, felt super weak, and coughing alot. my doctor gave me robatussim (sp?) for the cold. but i rather call the doctor and be safe than sorry and just ask. there's no such thing as a stupid question when your life and your baby's life is on the line.

I had a cold in the first trimester and a cold right before I gave birth. My doctor said it was okay for me to take Tylenol Sinus (daytime only, not night time) if I really needed it and nasal sprays. I really tried not to take anything and just stick it out with soups, lots of fluids, and rest. Chicken noodle soup really works. Even in the hospital my husband brought me my nasal spray which was okayed again to take since I was breastfeeding. Good luck!

I have absolutely NO doubt that you've already paid your doctor for his/her services, either through insurance or out of your own pocket. Your baby is worth a phone call to your doctor!

I always took Children's cold medicine. The grape flavored Dimetap worked pretty good.
Best of luck with that C-section!

Don't take any pills. Use saline sprays for nasal congestion, salt water gargle for sore throat, and lots of vics vapor rub for chest/nasal congestion. Throat lozenges are ok too - just don't use more than recommended. I had a nasty 2 week cold in my 7th month....you have my sympathies.
