i heard i have to buy a wireless router. how is it work?

you buy the wireless router.. hook it up to your internet and then you get a wireless receiver for the routher (same brand just ask the people in the store you go to) and plug that into the laptop... the rest will be in the instruction book of the router ahah

get a good wireless router that has range meaning that you can go so far until you get no connection. you hook up the router to the modem then configur the router to have a ssid name and a password. reason is that you don't want to share your internet connectivity to others in your area. once that is done on the router then go to your laptop and make sure the wireless will pick up the router, which will say found wireless access point do you want to connect to it say yes then enter the password. then you should be able to hook up to the internet only.

Buy a router.
Plug the CAT5 cable from the DSL modem to the router.
Follow the directions to adjust settings and set security passwords.
The laptop works.

both must have a wireless network cards to communicate with each other. setup DSL on Desktop and bridge the connection form DSL to Wireless on it.
