Why do people take a cigarette after having sex?

Best smoke ever after sex & after dinner. If you don't smoke I can't explain the feeling, but if you smoke you know what I mean.

i dont know cause its just like ahhhh that was good now a extra reward "in a sense" kinda like ahhhh let me sit here and smoke this and catch my body up with my brain after that amazing sex.. i smoke a cig before and after i eat,shower,before i go to work after work,before i go to bed,after i get up its that dam nicotine!! yeah i gotta quit i keep saying someday ill just quit but that someday keeps coming and coming and hasnt gotten here yet

It's suppose to relax them. You'd think they'd be relaxed enough after having sex, wouldn't ya?

because it is relaxing after a satisfying activity - much like after a heavy meal where one is physically, mentally full.
