Wow - I had to answer this just because Pimp C's answer is so completely, totally, and utterly wrong. (Nice going C!)

Ok, first of all, I do not know how to completely disable DEP, but you can at least minimize its intrusiveness, which should take care of your problem.

Right-click on your "My Computer" icon, and choose properties.

Click the "Advanced" tab.

Click the "Settings" button in the "Performance" area.

Click the "Data Execution Prevention" tab.

Either choose the radio button that says "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only" OR

if you know what program or executable is causing DEP fits, choose the second radio button and specify that executable.
