you have to have all the facts. If we pull out too early Iran will gain control of Iraq. terrorism will grow stronger and the threat to non-Muslim countries will be greater. Evil must be confronted. Not to mention if Iran has control over Iraq, they also would then control most of the mid-east oil. until the USA becomes much less dependent on foreign oil. we are between a rock and a hard place.

First, I agree that we need out.
Second, there are good things happening, without a doubt. I'm a teacher, and at one of the schools I worked at, a fellow teacher was also an officer in the Army Reserve. His unit was engaged in rebuilding parts of Iraq, schools, hospitals, etc. So there is good being done.
BUT, it shouldn't be American soldiers doing it. It should be the Peace Corps or something.
Bush has basically wrecked our country, and I cannot believe that so many ignorant fools still believe he is somehow making us safer. This has to stop, now. I only hope that all the repubs are voted out in November, so Bush can be left stranded by himself, and hopefully face impeachement...which would be much deserved.
I seriously feel like the federal government is turning our country into a dictatorship.
I hope that the American people will understand when the next president, a democrat, will be facing some tough monetary and pr decisions, in order to bring our country back to a sense of normalcy.

I am Liberal Democrat as well and believe we should pull out now. Of course there are many with good arguments that believe cutting and running is completely the wrong thing to do, but Iraq is like a stock that just keeps losing value. Eventually you have to cut your losses, because it will never be what you it to be. And Iraq is eating up American lives and that land doesn't deserve a single drop of American blood let alone the gallons we have been feeding it.
We have work to do here at home. Our nation needs to be our priority. I don't ever again want to watch my president address me in a state of the union address and tell me all the great things he's going to do for Iraq or any other nation. America should be the first priority. Security begins at home.
And my fellow democrats who cravenly voted for this war to ensure their own re-elections by appearing patriotic betrayed themselves, their constituents and their nation.
March 2003 was a turning point in our political history. In March 2003 Caesaer crossed the Rubicon....and the citizens hardly noticed.

And how many thousands of his own people did he gas or murder? Is there an answer? Yea Get out of the U.N. so Russia and China quit dealing behind our backs and dictating policy. The U.S. has lost its strength in negotiating because we bow to the will of the U.N. which has nothing but money on their mind...

unless we plan on fighting this war we should get out. more people die because of the government's politically correct attitude. go in, do it, and get out. stop drawing this thing out. the bleeding hearts worry about the innocents but the fact is that war is hell and if we keep up this politically correct crap up many more will die than if we just fought the darn thing and got out..

There needs to be a timetable so that Iraq will stand up and take control for itself otherwise they are still going to keep being lazy bastards and let us do all of their fighting for them.

Yes. We are not wanted there anyhow. I say, let them fend for themselves. They already have a goverment in place, all they need to do is beef up their military. That is something that they can do without our help.
