S Club 7 were known as "S Club" after June 2002, when Paul Cattermole left. They released a movie "Seeing double" in April 2003, and soon announced their intentions to release one final single and a greatest hits album, "Best - the greatest hits" in the June. Paul has been a member of a nu-metal and rock band, but Skua broke up, and he left Charlie Bullitt on friendly terms.

Tina Barrett is working on a debut album. Bradley McIntosh is due to appear in a MTV series, "Totally Boyband" with members of Steps, 911, Another Level and New Kids On The Block. Jo O'Meara released her debut solo single and album in 2005, but has apparently now quit the music industry. Hannah Spearritt has starred in two movies, and will star in a new ITV drama. Rachel Stevens is working on her third solo album, while Jon Lee has appeared in the West End.

5ive disbanded in September 2001. Sean Conlon fell ill with glanduar fever in May 2001 and temporarily left the band, as did Scott Robinson to be with his fiancee in the last weeks of pregnancy. J Brown, Abs Breen and Ritchie Neville continued to promote their single and album. After a month of meetings, the band disbanded on September 27 and released their final single in the November.

Scott has dabbled in radio and television and was a lead in "Boogie Nights" in the UK. Ritchie has made appearances on television in a number of roles and returned briefly to music in 2003 with a rock band. J is now writing and producing for other musicians. Abs was the only member who launched a solo career, achieving three UK Top 10 hits, and was recently on the television programme "Love Island". Sean has recently signed a recording contract after spending time quietly pursuing a solo career.

B*Witched were scheduled to release a single in summer 2002, but were dropped by their record company while shooting a promotional video. Plans to sign to a new record company fell through, and Sinéad O'Carroll left the band. She recently set up a workshop to help youngsters succeed in the industry. Lindsay Armaou has been working on solo material for four years and recently unveiled new material. Edele Lynch now writes songs with Xenomania, and her sister Keavy formed production and song producing company Who Songwriters.

Aqua split up in July 2001 with rumours that band members Lene Grawford Nystrøm, René Dif and Søren Rasted had a rift (Lene had been involved with both René and Søren romantically). René pursued both singing and acting careers, Lene had a top three hit but her album charted disappointly. She and Søren are now married and have one daughter. Claus remixes songs for artists under different aliases.

O-Town never reached the popularity other bands had, and failed to sign to a new label. They disbanded in late 2003. Ashley Parker Angel released his debut solo album in May.

Some reasons is base upon fame, money, greed. When u become part of the rock and roll dream, sometimes you become engulfed with money, drugs, alcohol that the fame becomes too much to sustain. Other reasons could be that people didn't get along with each other in the group. I mean many famous and unfamous bands break up a lot base upon the friendships that they have. Others just get sick and tired of it and just want to grow up to live a normal life with a wife and kids.
