Hmm, I personally believe that a dog is better. Dogs are more fun to play with and can be taught to help out or go hunting with. Everything can be summed up with these two jokes:
What's the difference between a dog and a cat?
A dog has a master; a cat has staff.
OR
A dog knows what it wants but gets less of it; a cat doesn't know what it wants and wants more of it.

Really depends on what you want from a pet. Both are very affectionate, but dogs demonstrate that more obviously. Cats don't seek out your attention as much but definitely want it...sometimes not when it's convenient for you! They have their own agenda, which some people interpret as standoffish. Dogs are pack animals. You are the leader of their pack and so they desire to please you at all costs. They don't want to be ignored. They really don't like being left alone constantly and definitely not always in the yard all the time.

that depends what u like more- a dog is like a little kid, needs attention, to be fed everyday,taken out to "bathroom" issues, loves to play and run and spend time with the owner- a cat likes more independancy, it goes outside and stays out, eats when ever they want food, they aren't as playfull, they're more "on their own", if u want a close friend get a dog, if u want just a pet that doesn't need as much care or loving, get a cat

A dog definitely because they are not irritable like cats. Cats pretty much never want to be bothered.

both are breat pets. a cat can purr, and a dog will be there to help protcet you and or your family.

Dogs because they are funnier to play with and they are cuter and they are more easy to train and you can walk them and they can protect you and just alot of other things! Just my opinion though :)

depends on where you live..have a yard?? how much time are you gone from house?? and what you prefer..
me--i am not home much so cats are better for me..
and i don't have to take them out for walks to go to bathroom
