That is your bi-weekly pay? My pay was $760 after taxes bi-weekly- before the school district decided to downsize and hire an outside contractor, now I have to wait a month or so just to get unemployment! You are lucky. I would love to get that much a year, believe it or not. Maybe because I know how to budget my money and the fact that I live on my own.

It sounds about right by my calculations. I'm paid in the same neighborhood, and by the calculations I have on my paycheck, it comes out to just over 1100 per pay, but in Texas, I have no withholdings for state income tax as you would in California.

Thats pretty close after taxes especially if you don't have any expemtions. The state of CA likes to tax you out the ***. I know my check seemed low when I first moved here too, but I think its just this state.

Your gross salary every 2 weeks should be $1345.15 but your tax withholdings will depend on the number of allowances you claimed.
