it seems that with my bf..it seems to be the opposite in roles. a girl is always there buggin him to turn the tv off and pay attention to her.

but in our case, its exactly the opposite. usually, he's always the one wantin me to be there when he falls asleep, he's alway askin to turn of the tv so we could have "quality" time...

all these things that in a way are cute, but then i dont understand?

why is it like this?

Because we're all individuals, and not everybody mindlessly conforms to stereotypes. There are guys who don't like sports. There are guys who don't drink beer. And there are guys who like to gossip and enjoy a cuddle. Don't question it, just enjoy it.

All you need to ask yourself is, are you happy with things the way they are? If so, then forget everything that society has told you about what a heterosexual relationship should look like. If not, then find someone who's more your style. I too tend to wind up with guys that have a lot of traditionally feminine traits and for the most part this has worked for me as I am not the girliest of girls (emotionally at least). The only time I really had a problem was when my boyfriend thought that sex should be a meaningful expression of love and I thought it should just be about sex. That didn't work out so well, but I learned from the experience and moved on. The key is just to find someone who fits well with you, whatever that may look like. Best of luck.

He sounds possessive, but maybe he is really a super special sort of person.

I don't understand either as I have never met any man that would turn off the t.v. to talk to a female unless they wanted to chew her out about something - and that usually waits till the commercial.

There is no rule that says that the girl is always the needy one when it comes to affection. I have dated a few guys like that before and it is just the way they are. I think it is kinda nice to know that not all guys have egos the size of Texas. Does it bother you that he is like this?

because the roles are steriotypes society has built up, which means that they are not universally true (kinda like a rumor but on a larger scale, it may have been based off fact but when applied to everyone it just dosen't work)

Because he's a loser. Buy him an XBox or something so he can play games and ignore you like a real boyfriend would. Send him to a ballgame with his buddies. He has friends, right?

He is in love. ^_^
And not just in love... head over heals!
Consider yourself very lucky girl. Many girls only wish they had a sweet guy like that.
It seems to me like when a guy falls he falls hard.
So if you love it thats great if you ever think its a little too much gently talk to him about it.
Congrats on having a guy who really cares!!!!! ^_^

Because he likes you and wants to spend time with you. Is this a problem for you? And the biggest question...Why don't you ask him this question?
