An iPod is an mp3 player made by Apple. It comes in three different types: the Shuffle, the Nano, and the iPod (with video capabilities). The Shuffle only holds music, but the Nano holds music, photos, and has features like games, world clocks, a stopwatch, and more; the video-enabled iPod holds music, photos, and has all of the extras available on the Nano, but it also holds videos. The latter is able to hold video of various sizes, it can hold your music videos or your favorite movies and television shows. To be able to play anything on your iPod, the file must be converted into the AAC format. This, unfortunately, means that if you purchase music off of the internet for your iPod, you can only do so from iTunes or a store like eMusic.

The Apple iPod is currently the most popular DAP or Digital Audio Player on the market with over 75% of all MP3 players being an iteration of the iPod. It is so popular because of its ease of use in its interface and proprietary music service iTunes makes the iPod easy to download music to. My personal recommendation for a flash MP3 player is the SanDisk Sansa e280, which was just released. It contains twice the storage capacity of the iPod Nano (8GB vs 4GB respectively), and more features such as built-in FM tuner, memory card slot for additional 2GB of storage, video capability, etc. And it costs the same as the iPod Nano ($250).

iPod... it's an Apple device that plays MP3/WMA/Many video files, it is portable and has a built-in Li-Ion battery. You can transfer songs from you computer to it thru iTunes. It comes in dif colors like white, black, pink etc. It has dif storage capacity depending on how much you pay. LCD screen it's also available (all have and the Video Player -the ones that play Video files and music files- has a larger LCD).
