You certainly cannot rule out depression. However, your erection has a mind of its own, you know, and if you find something that really excites you, honestly, whatever it is, believe me, your erection will come back so quickly it will astonish you. You are clearly upset by what has happened, but the connection with your erection is closer than you imagine. If you listen to your body, you will find that aspect of it speaking to you at some point, and you will suddenly realize the problem you are concerned about is over. My point is this: I honestly do not believe your problem is a permanent one. You are going to change soon, and the problem you are having with erections will go right out the window. Try not to worry too much about it, and try to remember what you love about life. And finally, try to remember what a special person you are, no matter what happens to you. Sent with good energies from Chris, in South Portland, Maine U.S.,A. (I am 63 years old.)

It could very well be that you are depressed and just have no sexual drive. If your girlfriend has moved to California and you are really sad about it maybe you should just go out and try to date someone. You don't have to be sexual but get to know someone else if she is not coming back. Try slow dating and then work it up to a little more if you like. I know that you hurt though, but maybe when you feel better you can begin to date again.

Absolutely, depression has a direct connection as to why a guy can't get it up. Just get over the ex GF and everything will be ok. You have many hard-ons ahead of you so don't worry.

depression can cause impotence...for sure....what you have to do to pull out of it is every day when you wake up, verbally say " Damn, today is a great day" whether you mean it or not, then continue to tell others the same phrase over and over through the day....make it the last thing you say before you go to bed. In a week you will find that everything is not as bad as it seemed a week ago, and you feel like you have a new lease on life...i have done this .

It could very well be. I'm sure men as as susceptible to emotional woes as women are...and it would make sense that it would just not be "in the mood" right now despite whatever your head may be saying. Give yourself time to grieve as it will also help you heal and move on.
