Do you know who in your family is Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, or Transgender? Where out there, we are the people you love and we love you so much we won't risk hurting you or have you hurt Us. We are your kids and brothers sisters and cousins and yes we are your parents, what we are has nothing to do with you but yet you spread your hate and we sit and watch you do it and can't ever tell you the truth. Do you see me now?

Qchan05 I'm sorry you don't understand the question, this question not directed at people who know and love their family members and let them be who they are. In fact I'm happy to see how many who understood what I was trying to say and I'm a little sad to see the people who say stuff like "there's no one gay in my family". I'm not saying it's not possible but you didn't get the point you shouldn't hate and that’s what makes it so sad.

So sad. You didn't get thru to the ones whose eyes you were trying open. I see, "no, not MY family" and think, so defensive... the family that they will never really know. Unfortunate also that some posters who do know and love their LGBT family members didn't read the question close enough to get that you're not bashing accepting straights, but making a distinction between the types of families where members actually know and love each other and those that don't. Good question. Nice try. A for effort.

I don't think there is anyone in my family that is but I could be wrong. In my family if you dated someone of the opposite race they get kind of cranky and nasty about it so I suppose I would be scared to come out of the closet myself if I were Gay. I wouldn't treat them any differently though. I don't believe in it myself but like I said earlier there are much much worse things to be doing out there and everyone is allowed their own feelings and views on sexuality. Well unless there sexuality has anything to do with hurting another individual and has to do with children. I think you would go to HELL for that sort of thing but not Gayism.

Yep my aunt is, she left her husband of 21 years for her current girlfriend. It was a shock, we really didn't see it coming, but we didn't freak out or disown her or anything like that. 4 years on they are expecting their 1st child and we couldn't be happier for them!

Your question is directed at the wrong person. I am straight, and I have no desire to hurt or judge anyone who is gay. My sister is bi, and I love and support her in whatever she does.

Not all straight people are the ignorant bigots you speak of.

I'm straight and I've never judged and I promote diversity to anyone who needs reminding of it.
