I am sorry that you believe this STD epidemic is only related to the Plan B. Girls already have the STD before getting Plan B. They get the STD WHEN THEY HAVE SEX!!! Then they go get the Plan B so they won't have to deal with pregnancy, forgetting that they should be more concerned about getting an STD BEFORE they have sex. As we all know, abstinence is 100% safe in protecting against unwanted pregnancy and the transmission of STD's and HIV just to name a couple. When you think about it, you can potentially get an STD with ANY sexual contact; but in order to become pregnant, a woman has to be at a certain fertile point in her menstrual cycle. Also people forget that whether male or female, every time a person has sex, they are exposing themselves to whoever their sexual partner has been with.
The release of the Plan B did not CAUSE the epidemic, people probably just became more promiscuous because if pregnancy happened, it may have been a "So what - there's a pill for that and I don't have to ask permission to get it" attitude.

Plan B itself did not cause the STD epidemics, its the promiscuity, and not practicing safe sex that caused the epidemics. if you want to find a "clean" man, don't take their word for it. you might loose a lot of potentials but your health is at stake

How on Earth would a birth control option "cause" an STD epidemic? STDs are caused by bacteria and viruses, not birth control pills.

One had nothing to do with the other.
The drug does not cause any STD. But a bunch of people with an STD may choose to have sex when they wouldn't before. That's their choice, not a side-effect of the drug itself.

There have been std's before plan b, and there will be std's after plan b or plan c or plan z. for that matter.
if you and your husband and you are tested before intercourse, then you will now if he is clean.
provided that both of you stay faithful during your relationship.

You've got me. I guess the FDA either doesn't care or they haven't thought that far.
But then, drug companies have the FDA wrapped around their finger anyway.

Please tell me thatyou don't really believe the lack of this one particular birth control method actually stopped people from having sex??!!
When I was young, just getting into "sex" and stuff, we didn't even have The Pill------Do you think that stopped anyone? No one that I knew!!

Urban legend.
Ask your future husband to provide you a certificate from his doctor saying his blood tests were negative, if you want to be sure.
