It all depends on what kind of system you want and how much you want to spend. The 360 is an OK system, some of my friends love it to death, and yet others hate their 360's. It has the best on-line game play, but it has had problems with overheating and games freezing up.
The Wii is alright but it has no graphics and the game line-up is very weak. The PS3 and 360 are 512 bits and the Wii is half that. I also don't like the controller, it look weird to me. You will also be able to download all old Nintendo games on-line with the Wii, so that's good.
And the last system is the PS3. I know this is the one I'm going to get for sure, it has outstanding graphics and the game line-up is outstanding for sure. The PS3 also does movies, on-line options, videos and music. The PS3 is the best system if you can afford to buy it, they are asking a lot for it but it is well worth it to me.

I think that the main difference will be the game titles out there. I think that all 3 consoles are released fairly similar, and so the technical stuff might be similar.
I have an Xbox 360 and I like it, although I'm waiting for Halo 3. I've seen the demo for Metal Gear on the PS3 and it looks awesome. I don't know much about the Nintendo.

Nintendo Wii, is for the more easily amused audience and boasts it's motion sensing remote control which the PS3 has aswell. Xbox 360 is barely an advancement, PS3 is by far the best choice for you.

read the reviews about the games! ok so i have the 360 and im pissed off....cuz it can't play old xbox games!!! nintendo Wii im probably going to get cuz there's just something about that controller that i want!

I don't have either of them, but I'll say Xbox 360 because of the graphics and the online gaming.
