The over-the-counter release of the morning after pill can only mean STDs will skyrocket. The same thing happened when they released them in England, why wouldn't the results be any different here? I am worried about this. I want to be able to find an clean man, I don't think this is a lot to ask. I'm only 20 and a college sophomore, so I still have a few years yet anyway until I'd even think about getting married but I just hope that the day when my future guy proposes to me, I'll ask him "Are you clean?" and the response will be yes. I know STD rates are different in certain regions- I'm from WI if that helps (but not from a big city like Milwaukee). Also, I'm 100% clean (I don't need any testing because I'm not giving my virginity to anyone that's not my husband), but my worry is will he infected?

Plan B might increase the instance of STD at first. but a child having a child results in sexually uninformed children which would make STD rates rise. As far as im concerned i dont want anyone who doesnt want a baby to have one. whatever that takes is fine with me. what do ppl care if other ppl sin. that is most ppls problem with plan b. and i think if a doctor prescribes it and then a pharmy doesnt fill it the pharmy should lose their accredidation. i mean cmon you are supposed to have freedom of religion here. that means you cant impose your religious beliefs on me.

The moring after pill isn't meant to reduce STD's. Think you'd need to do some more serious research. It's very probable the rise in STD's actually have very little in common with the release of this of this medication. If someone you really loved and he loved you, he wouldn't have a reason not to be tested for this

Maybe you should just ask your potential mate to take a STD test and your problem will be solved? Over the counter morning after pill will not make STD's increase. Instead, it'll prevent abortions and unwanted pregnancies. In addition, the morning after pill can only be taken once a month. When I "date" a woman, I don't go unprotected because "I can obtain the morning after pill." Your paranoia is unfounded. 100% clean here.

Most states require a blood test for a marriage license. I don't know about WI. Plan B will have no effect on STD rates, despite the shrill crying from Conservatives.

Why on earth would this increase men's rates of STD? This is emergency birth control for women who have not used protection. It is not meant as a continuous form of birth control. If women want that, there are plenty of other safer ways to do it, including...tah dah! The usual birth control pill.

Both of you go to the Doctor before the honeymoon and show each other the results. I made a dude have a test once before anything was done

Why would this be a problem? Plan B is a form of birth control. What is the relation? I don't get it. People who are sexually active will most likely be on birth control. Plan B is for people who don't usually have sex and somehow end up having it.

Don't be a promiscuous beach. Be more cautious, wait and find out what the man is like before you start sleeping with him.
I've heard countless stories about women who ended up in bad relationships because they started putting out to questionable types who then either abused them or were deadbeats.
Get your family and church to help you find good prospects. Stop leaving the choice of a mate up to chance. Use online dating services. Write to them, be pen pals, find out what's in their minds and souls before you jump in the sack with them.
You want to gamble? Then it's on you. Oh, you can insist they wear a condom. They won't? then say no jimme, no gimme. Be firm.
Like I said, don't be a sleazy beach, hold out till you find that Mr. Right. Or you gamble... with your body, your health, and your life.

You can always insist on recent test results.....
I'm clean, and even though I am I wouldn't have an issue if my partner asked me to be tested...I would consider it being considerate and respectful of my partners wishes.....
