Is it pretty much the exact same as the first one or are there any major differences? Mine was simple and I was wondering how the second one went. Thank you!

With the second you know what to expect - and you should also know that you need to be walking or doing some sort of prenatal exercise to keep your muscles in shape so that it will all heal faster.

My 1st was an emergency c-section and I had lots of complications, the 2nd was planned and in my opinion I healed much faster and was able to tolerate the pain and discomfort much better since I already knew what to expect...it will vary with each and every person. You just have to be prepared and be sure to keep your body in good physical condition.

My 1st c-section was an emergency so I was knocked out with general anestesia. I remember with that one my stomach muscles hurt tremendously! My second one was planned though and it didn't hurt as bad. They cut right over my previous scar, so nothing any worse there.

But - beware of the spinal headache! Argh! I was not familiar with it, and my doctor didn't know what was wrong at first. Every time I sat up my head felt like it would explode. That is because I was leaking cerebral/spinal fluid from the spinal block and my brain was resting against my scull. It was 50x more pain than anything associated with the delivery. But, I got a blood patch and all was well.

Overall I recovered much faster the 2nd time around, except for the spinal snafoo. (but don't be scared about it- once they figured out what was wrong it was a really easy fix.)

My 2nd Csection was planned, which made that part of the planning easier. There is a little more scar tissue to get through but otherwise things should be the same. Good Luck,

My first C-section was an emergency after I labored, so that C-section was very tough. The second C-section was planned, and that went easier (probably I wasn't tired from laboring all night) and I healed faster too. Plus I kinda knew what to expect, etc.

Good luck!

Mine was easy too but you don't heal as quickly and it is always really tender but for the most part the same as the first

My sis had two c-sections and hers were the same. I have to say that anyone who has ever had a c-section is braver than me the thought of one scares the fire out of me!!! I'll stick to having mine natural.

I had three. The first one and the last one were the easiest. That second one was awful.
