Actually I'm from Austria (Europe), but I used to live in Houston for five months. There are a few aspects you need to mind: The hot weather and the humidity. Seriously, the temperature there is comparable with the heat in Egypt, but if you like the hotness like I do, then it won't be a problem anyway :) ! Houston is near to the Gulf of Mexico as well and so you can go swimming - but watch out for the waves when it's windy! Second, it's a huge city - if I'm not mistaken, the fourth largest city in the U.S. - and it's always a lot of traffic going on there. Therefore you have to expect traffic jams, car accidents (hope, you won't be involved in any of them) and also noisiness, but it depens on where you'll live exactly. Another point is the variety of everything - people from all different cultures, food, entertainment, the great and shocking divide between rich and poor,... I nearly saw all kinds of neighborhoods (the wealthy sites, but also the Fifth ward, fourth ward...it really can be very dangerous there - violence, robberies, shootings, drugs...) Another thing is the amazing Downtown. It's just gorgeous with all its buildings and there's also a Downtown Tunnel System, which totally impressed me! All in all I think, it's a nice place to live. Honestly, I enjoyed the time and really miss my friends there - so if you'll meet them, give them a hug ;) ! God bless you!

TOUGH choice. Picking just one leaves out so many goodies, but I'd have to go with Italy. Hard to top pizza, pasta and good vino.
