Why would anyone be gay? Trust me, it's not a choice.
Consider the number of homosexual people who have been discriminated against, who have been openly abused, who have been physically attacked, even to the point of being fataly beaten, and you would realise that it not a choice, it is something much deeper.
Consider also that your father was not following the example of Christ by keeping you away from people he considered to be gay, whether or not they were. Jesus frequented with the very least in His society, the very same people the religious leaders and Pharisees shunned.
Consider also that nowhere in the bible does it say that homosexuality is wrong, only that the act is wrong. God hates homosexual sex, but loves homosexuals. You should, too (to those who would claim I am trying to pervert him - no, not in a sexual sense).
Don't believe anything merely because your father did. A faith based on someone else's belief has no standing. Unless you believe what you believe because YOU believe, you only believe in your father, not God.
And sorry to have to break it to you, but your father didn't invent the "Adam and Steve" line, that is ancient. The female equivalent is "Linda and Eve."
And for those who either unknowingly or wilfully misunderstand, David and Jonathan where NOT married - it was a covenant of friendship, not marriage. Why would the writer of that book say "covenant" in that instance, yet still say "marry" every other time someone was married? Because it wasn't marriage.

Gay is not a sin in my life. Maybe yours, but not mine. If you think being gay is a sin, then don't be gay. Your job is not to judge others, but to lead by example as Jesus did.
Can you do that?
Didn't think so.
When you become Jesus-like, you shed all bigotry and hatred of other people and love them unconditionally. You don't put your nose into other people's relationships...and certainly not into their bedrooms!
Your daddy did NOT make up the "Adam and Steve" saying.
It's been around much longer than your daddy has.
Here's something else your daddy didn't make up:
When you point your finger at another person, you have three other fingers pointing back at yourself and your thumb is pointing to God.
Think about that the next time you feel the need to speak unkindly about other people.
Now that you have all the attention of gays and lesbians, we will be following you on Yahoo every day! See what you have done to yourself? God works in mysterious ways......and now He has put gays and lesbians in your life to teach you love and tolerance.
Don't be so afraid of gay people, dude.
They won't hurt you.

Why can't you even come up with your own arguements? Why do you have to quote someone else's words like some jr high kid? or are you? That is the age where kids are obsessed with sexuality? I think you are obsessed with mac. I will pray for you because obviouly you have issues.

Oh MY GOD!
You are so brainwashed - I'm going to start praying for you,
your father and the people who answer this question spouting
the Bible BULLSHITHOCKI.
You know what. It is NOT your job to JUDGE people. It is
YOUR JOB TO SHOW GOD'S light and LOVE. DRAW
people to you by living by Jesus' example. He didn't judge
them. That is for the Father to do.
Once you fall into the trap you're in, you have only made YOUR
salvation questionable. Get down on your knees and fall on
your face in prayer - and get over your pious selves! Worry about
your walk with God/Jesus/The Golden Calf. It is NONE of YOUR
BUSINESS what anybody else does. I surely don't give a flying
flip what you do in your private life.
Praise G, with a nipple twist.

As we all know theres more than just TWO homosexuals in every state so your question is a farce. Get over yourself and find something better to do than to harass people because of their sexual preference. I'm sure "Mac" just wants to kick your a** for being such an ignorant prick.

"Why would anyone be gay?" A little thing I learned about in Biology class called "genetics."
I'm a bisexual Christian. People have told me I'm a hypocrite, but I believe otherwise. My relationship with God continues to grow each day.
I will pray for you that your mind will be opened.
(Great post ine credible)

And I guess he's much happier than you...
Sorry, man. I cannot take any of this crap of yours seriously. First grow up, and then, we can discuss it. In the meantime, there's nothing anyone can do about you.
BTW, I guess you saw all these opposing answers coming, didn't you? So, if you knew you were wrong, why would you post this prejudiced crap? It's wrong, you know?
