Is it just my body, or have you experienced anything like it?

Sure! 7-up, ginger ale or even coke all help to settle the stomach. It's mainly due to the carbonation of these beverages, or the tiny bubbles. They ease the stomach by helping you burp, and getting rid of the acidity and gas. They work on the same principle as Alka-Seltzer, but taste a lot better. Another thing that works for me is lemon. I suck on a lemon when I have an upset stomach, and it takes away that nauseous feeling.

I don't know "why," but it's a general fact. When you have an upset stomach, doctors will tell you to drink clear soda, like 7-Up or Sprite. It does settle the stomach. And, they'll tell you to avoid water. Water will actually cause you to vomit. And that's a fact.

I don't know what they done for the thousands of years before soda was invented, but these are truly the best drinks for anyone with an upset stomach.

Guess your pharmacist could tell you more about "why" the next time you're in the drug store.

7-up seems to help me more than the other lemon-lime drinks or any of the colas. I'm not sure why this is. It has been recommended by Dr. Oz (Total 10 Rapid Weight Loss) and Dr. Michael F. Roizen to drink a cup of hot water with lemon to "kick start your digestive process and help detoxify your system (lemon activates bile flow)." Lemon is good for you. I'm not sure how much natural lemon is in 7-up verses the other brands, but it would be an interesting study.

As for Ginger Ale, I have used it for heart burn, but I always go with a natural brand like Reed's. Ginger is good for your stomach. Ginger tea is extremely strong, Ginger Ale is much more tolerable to the taste buds.

Doesn't matter if it feels better. A little sprinkle of salt in 7-up will reduce the bubbles, and the Gatorade has other vitamins and such that may help or upset. It's a give and take thing. If one's not helping then try the other. Just a few grains of salt in a 4-6 ounce glass of soda though or it may overflow, or go too flat to like it.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Yes, I have discovered that 7-up works good as a upset stomach cure. I don't know why that is though.

I'd say Vernors works so much better over 7-Up, but, alas, Vernors is just a Michigan thing.
