I'm really naffed off, especially since I know that all my mates and my girlfriend are out all weekend! If you can't go and you really want to, why can't you go and are you a bit miffed too like me?

Sorry to hear that, one of my good friends is from Manchester here in the states, he'll be here instead of there too. Go to the after parties girl - just because you miss the first part, you can still have fun.

Sorry to hear that, Karen - wouldn't it have been good to take a couple of days off in advance...
...wonder what Matt D has on his shoulder - what do you mean by 'Posh South Manchester'? Burnage or Wythenshawe?
Know what you mean about straights gawping - did so myself whilst at college when it used to be called Mardi Gras, and was treated nice...can only thank God I never bumped into people like Matt, who thinks his time in San Francisco has turned him into top dog, and who doesn't like the working class, and pale fat spotty people - and the 'strident Northern lesbian' sneer makes me wonder if Mr. Posh South Manchester is really gay. Talking of 'Cisco - visited friends in Marin just before 9/11...and we discussed gay men who hate everybody but themselves - they're really straights who as much as they try, cannot form relationships with women on account of their social skills, and so think it'll be better if they turn into 'weekend gays'. If that doesn't work either, they spend the rest of their sad existence being all sulky and envious.

Oh, I love Manchester Gay Pride. I was there last year and the year before. Unfortunately, I cant go. Stupid graduate school program!!!!! Hon, if you really like to go, you can always call in sick ( i know its bad) and no matter what you can always go after work.

why would you be proud of something that you say you can't help? it's totally inane, just like black pride.

being proud of your ethnicity, race, nationality, culture, religion, sexuality, disability or gender is profoundly re.tarded. YOU HAVEN'T ACHIEVED ANYTHING TO BE PROUD OF.
