Computer came unplugged accidently when moving it a few inches.MS 2000 blue screen of death. Can't go anywhere! When start up can go to BIOS, then goes to Windows 2000 screen then hit f8 have tried last known good config., safe mode, safe mode with Ms-Dos - refuses to go anywhere but blue screen saying boot from disk or run chkdsk! Don't have a boot disk! Any suggestions? . ADVICE???

I have no advice, but get a vista based computer if you cant fix it.

Turn off your computer by removing the power cable and then press the power button. Once your done open up the pc and reset the CMOS. Put back the power and try it out. If that doesn't work try reinstalling windows 2000.

If you can access the internet from another computer, you can download boot disk images for W2K from www.bootdisk.com

If you have the W2K disk, then it's always best to use it, of course.

goto bootdisk.com to get a boot disk for win2000, also try reinstalling Windows.
