I'm going to a wedding, so I'd like the shoe to be dressy. I would also need a wide width.

Sucks doesn't it, to have to find special sizes?
For cheap shoes, check out Payless. They usually have a good selection of wide widths. You should be looking for one with a low to mid heel, 1-2". If you can't find a pair you like, then try the department stores. Ask the salesperson to find everything in a black dress shoe that comes in a wide width. I've found that department stores usually have a better selection of wide widths over regular shoe stores (kind of strange).
If you think you like to find a general black pump that you could wear again and again, then go ahead and spend the money for a nicer shoe. Try high end shoe stores (if you have any in your area) or places like zappos.com and shoes.com. They let you search by wide widths only.
Worry about fit and color first, a sexy shoe isn't as important as comfortable shoes for dancing. Sore feet won't do you much good after an hour or so of dancing in a too tight shoe just because it looks good. Besides, nobody notices shoes that much when you are a wedding guest. They are all looking at the bride and groom.

If you have the time to order shoes, you should try Zappos! Zappos also has reviews by other people who have boughten the shoes, so you know their ratings and everything.

D.S.W. is the best place to buy shoes, they have a huge selection and are reasonably priced, both my wife and I shop there for dress shoes.
