How do you format a Playstation 2 memory card?

Also, what should you do if the memory card says "Data is corrupt"? And what should u do if you cannot delete any of the files?

I believe they are already formatted or get formatted once you put them into the memory card slot. As for the corruption and inability to delete the files on the memory card? Methinks the memory card's gone bad on ya, sorry :(
