I was talking to my friend as I was walking out to the consession building and my foot went down into a hole and I ended up tripping and basically impailing or gashing the back of my leg open on a bar that was sticking out of the hole. The hole has been there for a long time and the bar has been sticking out of the hole about 4 inches, just enough to do serious damage. I have just turned 18 and I am outraged with this happening. I was wondering, is there any Texas regulations that says that something like this should be covered up with some kind of cover to keep people from hurting themselves. Also if I have to go to the doctor for this can I make the school pay for my injury? Or if possible, they don't do anything to cover it, can I sue them?

Seek medical attention. You will need proof of your injury and that is the bast way to establish it. Then, seek more medical attention. Complain constantly to the doctors treating you about your pain. After you have established, that you are indeed hurt you can sue. Sue, sue, sue.
