Possibly, but perhaps very slowly. Monarchies are coming to an end, but it took thousands of years. The disappearance of slavery is only a recent phenomenon (and it's not yet completely gone). While it would seem democracies are the way of the future, there have been many instances in the last century of democracies being replaced by dictatorships. However, in general, there does seem to be a trend toward greater freedom, individual rights, and equality.
Where capitalism limits the freedom of wage slaves, tramples the rights of employees, and results in the great suffering of the dispossessed, then I see the future as a place without this kind of capitalism. But I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a long time. The wealthy are in power in capitalist countries and they want to prolong their power for as long as possible.

No, what will replace it. Communism destroys itself. Socialism bankrupts itself. The "third way" is just communism light. It destroys itself justs takes a little longer.
In the end free enterprise will always come back. Because you can't trade bad's, suffering and the like, you can only trade goods, products and services. Needs aren't satisfied by well wishes and good intensions but by productive work.

in America, it seems to me like capitalism is being beaten with a REALLY firm rod. i'd love to go into business for myself, but the rules, regulations, taxes, and other red tape, just do not seem to be worth the headache.

No. It is human nature to want to be rewarded for your efforts. Each time that regimes have tried to suppress it they have had to do so with tyrannical and repressive methods and have always ultimately failed.
