Hi. Most CD skips are caused by dirt or scratches too big for the error correction to fix. If the CD is scratched in a tangent line (with the track rather than perpendicular to the track) This can happen. Clean the CD first then look for tangent scratches. sometimes they can be polished out. Then you can make a backup CD and burn it. Best to prevent them though!

take a rag that soft and doesn't leave behind lent (or you'll have to clean the lent off your cd) and a small drop of lotion ( smaller than a dime) and rub it on the cd

use floor wax ina cotton and rub it hard on the cd then with another one you clean the wax 'till there's no trace of it

no..probably caused by a scratch on CD surface..might as well rewrite it or burn another..be careful not to scratch it again this time...
