Ahhh...so, after 4 1/2 years of dating, and nearly a year of looking for the perfect engagement ring for me, my boyfriend has found these two beautiful rings - and now we can't decide which one looks better! Since I am already wearing a simple-3-stone-diamond-gold ring, we want something that is going to be noticable as our NEW engagement ring. Something that you just can't help but to notice. But seeing as how we like both of them equally, we are in a bind! We decided to buy whichever one people think screams out 'We Are Getting Married!!!!'
Here are the two links...
Please, be honest!!!!
And if this helps, I wear both yellow and white gold..so it doesn't matter if its going to match my jewelry or not.
Thank you ahead of time...!

In reply to comments about the size, I would like to say that I don't like bigger rings. I think the bigger the stone looks, the more in tends to look fake. Besides, it's just a piece of jewlery...we don't want to spend a ton of money. We would rather of the money go towards really nice wedding bands, our furnishing our aparment after we get married.

Our wedding date is set for November 3rd of next year...it will be our 5 1/2 year Anniversery!

Marriage isn't about having a really expensive ring, or a really fancy wedding. We love each other deeply, and so for us, getting married IS worth it - ring or no ring. Its just a symbol of our commitment to each other...so anyone who thinks that its pointless to get married unless you have a huge ring on your finger is sadly mistaken.

I think that the ring at http://www.worldjewels.net/_e/diamond_en...

looks the best. The color of it with the diamond looks great. The other ring to me looks more like a promise ring. If I were you i would go with the worljewels. You are right about the ring size. There are many things in life and a ring on your finger is a ring on your finger. Large are small you will still be married the same. A marriage should not be about the size of the diamond or the cost of the wedding, it should be about the love and friendship of your life partner. And just a little hint that may also help you ... if a stone sticks up to high it gets hung on things all the time and then after awhile the stone will end up lose and fall out. I hope that i have helped your concern. In the end when you are ready your heart will lead your way ... listen to it and not what other people are saying, for only you know your true feelings.

OK, seriously, if after 4 1/2 years of dating and all you can afford is a 1/4 carat ring, I say do not bother. Go to qvc.com and get yourself a full carat of cubic zirconia and have that set in 14k gold. That will say married woman and no one will have to know it is not a real diamond. Do you know how small 1/4 carat is? Not worth it's weight in gold. :-)

I found a site for a local jeweler here in Maine that is very nice. They have a nice selection that is like the two you showed us. Go to daysjewelersonline.com into the engagment rings link. (* I would go for the 1st one if I have to choose out of the two, but I really like the two toned semi mounting ring)

I also like crossjewelers.com they have this ring called the victory ring that I am in love with. I keep showing it to my husband, but he keeps ignoring me. Hmmmm.... Good luck and Congrats

Wow, they're both beautiful!!!! But I have to say that if you want something that screams "WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!" I would go with the solid white gold one, it's more elegant and intricate, it draws more attention and to me it looks more like an engagement ring than the other one. By the way CONGRATS!!!

I like the second one better. The diamond stands out more, and the combination of white and yellow gold is beauthiful. The other one is too busy.

I like the second one, but if you get the first one...get it with gold because the platinum just looks sort of plain.
