No, I don't think so. I think it would be considered undue risk to a person not an adult and incapable of making an adult decision. I also think that any testimony or sworn statements would be called into question, as minors are considered "less than competent" to swear an oath and it would bring up the question of whether their statements were true.

Generally, they use adults who LOOK like kids.

Yes, the police can use a minor as a informant.

Depends a lot on age and Yes...to a small degree. However the information may not hold up in court due to credibility of the minor.

They shouldn't. The first kid that gets one in the back of the head for being a rat and the police administration would flounder. Then again maybe the rat deserves to get one in the back of his head even though he is a minor.

yes I would think so. They use minors in underage sale stings all the time.

I do not know if it is actually legal as a rule they use young looking officers but I know It is done and should never be acceptable. I will look into the legalities now....
