Well he could be dying, or he could just be 4 weeks old.
I have a 3 month old boy and a 2.5yr old daughter both puked out of their nose... my son still does. Spit up is a very normal and harmless action and in many cases can be very interesting and entertaining to watch... Just look at all of the AFV clips shown on sunday nights. Anyway this can be caused by many different factors. Eating to much with out being burped, Reflux, or allergies most are very treatable. However there are other things that you may want to look at... Take for instance my son. nasal vomiting (if you want to call it that) is directly the result of a bi-lateral cleft of the palet.... strangely enough he only has a single cleft in his lip, which leads me to this statement. he may have an opening in the palet of his mouth that allows fluids to pass between his nasal cavity and his mouth. and even though he does not show it outwardly (cleft lip) he may have a cleft pallet or partial at least. next chance you get look in his mouth toward the back look for an opening. If you see one no big deal its a cleft and easily fixable... if you don't then Great he is just fine... Get the kid spaghetti and a video camera and make a quick 50 :)

No no no! There isn't anything wrong. My son is 8 weeks and he spits up through his nose too... The doctor said it's just spit up that's coming out his nose. It's no different than you getting choked on milk and it coming out your nose. Just use the blue suction bulb and keep it cleaned out so he can breathe easy. Remember to be gentle.
I would mention it to your peditrican just to be sure he doesn't have acid refulx. Frequent spitting up can be a sign of reflux. If that's the case they will have you try different formulas. I found that Good Start was really tough on both of my babies.

I used to have a friend who puked out her nose in grade three.... it wouldn't really that big of a deal except that since he's just a wee baby, he might possibly aspirate (breathe in) some of the puke which could lead to choking/pneumonia. It's really just that he likes to close his mouth to puke, I guess. Not necessarily anyhting wrong. But I'd talk to your doc about it none the less.

This is dangerous as it sets him up for an induced pneumonia, please let Dr listen to his lungs, some babies have something called pyloric stenosis, there is a narrowing near or at the stomach and baby can't take all or some of his food in and therfor has spurting vomit or out his nose.

Nose plugs will do the trick. Make sure to use super glue to get them in there nice and snug.

See a physician ASAP. This is not a question for a bunch of lunatics on Yahoo.

Sounds like you gave birth to a very weird kid. Take him to the doctor for goodness sakes. Does he fart out his ears?
