Do you still have feelings for your ex? If you don't care about him just let the land lady throw the stuff away (NO JUST KIDDING dont let that happen) even if he is your worst enemy help him. Be the stronger person and make him miss you. UNLESS you broke up with him. But anyway im babbling so put his stuff in a storage for a little while.

It depends on how much you choose to care for him. Obviously he doesn't care that much for his stuff by just leaving everything. I should make him a call, or go talk to a friend of him.
I should not pay for a storage, though he obviously cannot pay his rent, he may not pay you back for the storage.

Stay out of it and let the landlady do whatever she is going to do. At this point you are not responsible, nor involved. If he comes back looking for his stuff he can find the landlady and take it up with her.
If you take his stuff, you are taking resposibility for his things and any cost involved in storing it. This can get legally complicated, and not worth the hassle for an ex

Two things, Did he disappear and no one has heard from him, can you contact his family? If not, then the police needs to be notified that he is missing. Second, if you know he is OK, and he just took off, that is his land lady's problem not yours. She has to try to notify him and being a land lady I am sure she knows the laws in your state. Worry about yourself. He is the one who is irresponsible.

well you should know his mom, i guess. do you need any of that stuff? do you know any of his friends? is he deserving of a storage room? what if he has moved in with another woman? it really is his problem and he will learn from it. what kind of friend leaves with out any body knowing how to get in touch with him? that is not a sign of a good person to me.

Your ex? I say make some signs saying, "Free for the taking" and post them on every thing placed outside. Pull up a comfortable chair and enjoy the festivities! Sell lemonade on the side. He's your ex and you haven't heard from him so why do you care?

Since he has an apartment, presumably he's a grown person. If he wanted his stuff, he should have picked it up. You are not his mother, you are his ex. You are not responsible for his belongings.

He is your EX and you have not business for being responsible for him anymore. If his stuff goes out, it goes out. Don't pay for storage for him, that is not your responsibility. Sound to me like he is very irresponsible.

take his stuff that you want, and leave the rest for the land lady. or call goodwill to pick it up. that's a write off on your taxes too for charity.
