Im up to my wits end its getting to the point where I will lite up and get so mad at myself curse at my self throw it away...just to lite up again,I will throw away a brand new pack then buy a new one 5min. later.I hate it I feel like such an addict. I know alot of you out there will say oh just stop but please know that I truly really need some good advice.

I'll tell you what. I smoked for 5 yrs untill about 10 years ago I was jumped by a few people. Broke my jaw and had my teeth wired. Told myself I need to get a positive out of this whole situation. So I stopped smoking and haven't lit up since. If I did light up then It would of made me feel like they won. So I look at as like they saved my life. Its all about will power. Im not saying get your jaw knocked out but find a negative situation and turn into a positive. Hope it works

I smoked for about 20 years,
And felt the same as you, its very hard Its not just smoking its a way of life.
I had to change many things to stop smoking, little things, little {habits}?.
some times i stopped for a week, some times for half a day.
But every time i did stop i gathered new information about my self and how to combat the feelings, what symptoms to look for it got easier and easier, until i eventually done it.Broke the mold, you could say.
I have now been off them for seven hours, forty five minutes.?
No really its a few years now and i wish i had done it sooner.
Best of luck with your next attempt.
Ronnie.

I am right here with you. I have smoked for 6 years now and have done all of the things that you have described. I am to the point where I am going to talk to my doctor at my yearly checkup. Maybe you should talk about different methods and ways to stop smoking with your doctor.

It's a catch 22 situation- you stress when you don't smoke so you want a cig; you stress about smoking so you try to quit.

I totally feel your pain. Good luck with it!

You are still getting all you want from the one you want it from. When you no longer get any, then you will do what it takes to get some again. As long as the people that you want can stand you, there is not much incentive to quit. I quit because the woman I love will not be around a smoker. Fall in love with someone who cares about you, not someone who doesn't care about you. If someone doesn't mind that you smoke, then they don't care about you.

sorry for the problem. i think your totally addicted to it coz you've been taking it for so long. you dont have to totally quit it at once. lessen the amount little by little to pace yourself in the transition and take vitamins and eat healthy as well. the reason you get addicted is that the chemicals in the cigg, nicotine i think, has caused the other important chemicals in your body to be excreted out to make a the balance of chemicals in your body well. when you stop smoking, the chemicals are lessened so you crave for or you get addicted to the chemical especially when you know what it is and you know where to get it. i just hope its not too late.

all u will need is strong will power and moral support from your hubby..u cannot stop it at once, and gotta stop slowly and step by step, i'm sure there a support groups, and other ways to deal with smokin'.. you see you are already a step closer to quittin' as u lite up and throw, that is yer will power, but you need the extra boost and support from the people around you...treat yerself with goodies and help yerself with high self esteem to succeed in yer cigar smoke quittin'. eventually one day you will stop smokin' just do not give up and have full faith and confidence in yerself...good luck!!
