The famous are that way because people immortalize them. No one immortalizes an everyday Kmart jeans wearing Joe/Jane who doesn't wear any makeup.
The celebs promote an image or package and goodness knows that no kid wants the toy that comes in a box marked 'TOY'. Things-including people-have to be dressed up to help to signify their importance and ignite your senses and desires. Normal people don't spend $4000 on an outfit, $300 for hair styling, and $250 to have someone spray makeup on their face just to go to see a movie that will be available on DVD within six months of its release anyway! Don't get sucked in by the illusion of glamor!
