keep in mind im running 13.1 compression with dart 2 head 230 intake runners2.08valve 1.6valve eagle rotating assembly 4340 forged ,all roller .600 lift lunati, im worried about clearance on my cam to collide ,850 demon carb ,victor jr intake will i be safe will i be safer with a 5.7 rod 6.0 rod with a normal circle base cam not a small base cam

go with the 5.7 you will have plenty of clearance for the power you are going to turn out i would go with a better intake that is not a good choice for this kind of power and you should have flat top pistons and you should take the timing chain out and go with gear drive give you more power check out my 360 page and see some of my cars i built i have 3 of them that will do over 240 mph in the 1/4 mile any time you need help or advice just contact me

shorter the rod the faster the rpms build up. And that depends on the lift on your cam . They have charts you should of got that with the cam when you got it. they have the carts in the box as to the lift.

hhmmmm, i would say the 5.7 rods. be sure to check and set to TDC. good luck :)

you should replace it with a 460 ford

no a blown 514 stroker would be better
