Im not saying that all gay men are by any means, because i surely am not. But for the most part, all of the gay men i have met have slept with more ppl than live on my street! No lie. So my question is, why are soo many gay men sluts? What kind of satisfaction do they get out of being "loose"? Also, I think holding on to your virginity until you meet that special someone is sexy, do you agree?

First off, If you were straight, I would not take this question seriously so it's good that you're gay because that way, I feel like my observations/ideas are justified (if that makes any sense....) I'm glad that I'm not the only who notices this seeming pattern.

I think a lot of why many gay men are (or at least seem to be) much more sexually active than straight men has to do with the religious element. There are way too many Christians who are stuck in the past and are rather hateful toward the gay community (which is both ridiculous and so against what Christ was all about). In turn, I theorize, that gays lash out a against this biggotry by rebeling the more traditional values of saving sex for marraige. I don't know, just a thought.

Personally, I think virginity is one of the most wonderful gifts a person can give to their life partner.

Well i can't speak for every gay man, but i can speak for myself. I think some gay men have a need to have sex with a lot of other men because they feel like they don't have many options. I know that sounds a little contradictory. But only 10% (i think) of the population is gay; that could be divided by state but that is not the point. Whether it is a conscience thought or not, men could be afraid that they wont have a big enough set of options in the future, and thus whore themselves out. Thats the same reason girls do. They think if they don't have sex now, when people wanna have sex with them, that their luck could soon run out and it be too late. It might sound awkward to you the way i am saying this, but i think that gay men know we are outnumbered by straight people, and that we wont have as many options as straight people do. So maybe its not about so much being slutty, but wanting to be able to live when the opportunity arises. Thats not to say that i wana be with a guy thats had 10 partners, but looking from their side, this is a possible reason.

Now let's get real here. Gay? Straight? Men are sluts, if not in acting out, in their mind. Holding on to ones virginity is admirable, as long as the poor guy is still holding by the age of 25. This is America where teens are sold sex in the streaming video of their lives day in and day out. The guilt that teens and twenty somethings have to live with on a daily basis because of what they are doing - a big secret - or thinking, or wishing they could do is overwhelming. Even the subject of masturbation is once again s-c-a-r-y. Teens and young people in general must be denying what they are doing as they are doing it. I really thought we put that subject to rest in the 60s. As I recall, in the late sixties and early seventies everyone was doing it with everyone. Bi-sexuality was the big thing and you weren't anyone if you hadn't done both sexes. Nudity was everywhere - live. Children saw naked men and women on a daily basis and so what? Now, they are being shown porno on the internet by older brothers, cousins, friends, dads and stepdads and mom's boyfriend. We are a child sex abuse phobic country where everyone is now looking around to see if anyone is paying any attention to children. Of course, this being America 2006, no one is paying any attention to children. That is why the rare child molester is able to score. It is all about us, isn't it? Look at the questions asked in Yahoo! Questions. Too many are about "me." And your question begs the question, why would you care how many dudes other dudes are "doing.?" Go out and do a few yourself, just do it wisely and safely. Morality is not an issue in America 2006 because we are all sellouts in one way or another. Looking the other way, not volunteering, not sharing your money, if you are able to share, not developing your mind and body to a healthy state, these are the issues of immorality, not how much or how little sex someone is having. God created us and if you are horny and you have the time and you are not married or otherwise committed, you can screw your brains out. And no, holding on to ones virtue is not sexy, it is to be admired but it is definitely not sexy.

I kind of agree with you about virginity being sexy. Men historically have been looser than women. It is only the fact that a straight man needs to find a willing woman that slows most of them down.

Also, over the years, gay relationships were frowned upon, so gay guys tended not to partner up, and therefore had more "flings". This isn't as true today.

Lastly, I think gay guys talk more about their sex lives than straight men, or any women do. So it SOUNDS like they are getting more.

Im not a slut. But I do plan on 'getting around' a little more.
I jumped into a relationship as soon as I came out. Now that I am single I want to go experience being gay and all the different kinds of people. I think that alot of people turn into whores when they come out just so they can experience everything. Yes there are some that are only interested in sex and will do anyone that comes around but at least I have standards. How old are you? and do you really only want to have sex with ONE person in your entire life?
Go see whats out there, find out what you like and what you dont. Its possible without being a whore.

I believe that a lot of gay men, sleep around due to the trauma of coming out, and the thrill they get every time they engage in gay sex which is not just orgasm it is the thrill of doing something that our society says is "taboo". They believe that they are different and that their differences condemn them never to have a long term relationship so, they make up for their emotional problems and emotional void by filling it with SEX. sad but, seems to be true from what I've seen. I am a gay guy, 18 yrs old and a proud virgin. I will wait for the special one.

why are so many girls sluts?? seriously though I think the way that society has continually shunned gays..that when they do come out...there is a lot of repressed feelings happening all at once....It's also kinda nice to know that some people actually want you..after it's been drilled into your head for so many years that your behaviour is unacceptable.

Because of hormones.
Here's an example:
A guy always wants more sex than his girlfriend.
She doesn't.
But, put that into a gay situation.
Guy wants sex. His partner wants sex also.
It's double the hormones, and complete agreement.
As opposed to a reserved female and her boyfriend.

i dont think only gays have this problem - look at straight guys, many of them have slept with many many women before they married. Yea, so i think a lot of men, whether straight or not, have this problem

It's like I told my brother when he asked "What do you do on dates" I responded "Same as you, do you want to know the difference?" - "You're a pig, right?", "All your friends are pigs, right?" - "Double it."

Me, I'm chasing the love of an unemotional father and a hateful society by trying to gain acceptance through sex.
