its funny that you ask that. People take things and run with it cause it just sounds insulting. ok now think of D.i.c.k. if you knew someone by that name wouldnt you think it was horrible that his parents named him that? its associated with penis so that makes it a bad word to say. Just the other day my husband was calling our 7 month old by making kissing noises so I told him not to treat her like a puppy. He thought that was so silly of me to say that just because most consider it a way to call an animal doesnt make it an animal call.

Hahaha! People keep changing the way they use words, or picking a relatively unknown word and giving it a new meaning. A great many words today are used in ways that bear no relation to their dictionary definitions. That's why slang is such a constantly changing form of language, and why young people, in particular, use words in different ways. If the 'older generation' understands what you're saying, then it's no longer cool. By the time the dictionary definition of Nimrod embraces this new usage, it will be out of fashion and another word will have replaced it.
C'est comme il faut!

I read it has to do with Looney Tunes, as absurd as it may sound. There s one episode where Elmer Fudd (also a hunter...and not the sharpest tool in the shed) following a wabbit stumbles upon a sign sayin Nimrod was here , hence the wrong association of the therm Nimrod and stupidity.

Say it to yourself. Nimrod. Nimrod. How can you not take that word and just run with it? Dorcas is the same way. Words get used in a lot of different ways. Language is like an art. It breaks its own rules all the time.

you're making some very sturdy factors. I for one did comprehend the that technique of the note "mark" and what became meant by technique of putting some one over. I extremely were a wrestling fan for over 50 years. and that i extremely hate it at the same time as people ridicule some wrestlers. they're doing the interest they love, attempting to entertain those who certainly do not supply a darn about them. This conflict element is dumb, it isn't a conflict that's totally business organization. As on your Morrison v Christian question. both one in all them are very quickly, agile and creative. i imagine i ought to could provide the win to Christian basically on the adventure component.
