Legolas also. He was so wicked shooting those arrows and the scene where he used a shield to slide down the downstairs while shooting arrows. Awesome!!

Samwise Gamgee all the way. Frodo never, never, NEVER could have accomplished his quest without him. The ring would have been in the hands of Sauron and Middle Earth would have been cast into darkness. Samwise was totally loyal, brave when he had to be, and modest. He doesn't try to lead, he is happy being a supporter and protector of Frodo. He always seems to see clearly when others' vision is clouded (golum). Even though he was timid and somewhat of a wimp when it came to girls, he was the strongest in character. He did not seek glory. The simple life was enough reward for him. To live out his days in peace and happiness in the Shire that he loved. And he did what he had to do to acheive that. He is the patriot of the Shire.

I like Sam...he's a bit gay..but...I like him..He's the true hero of the trilogy...Legolas is a bit over rated...darn him..he needs to learn how to fight hand to hand.
