Did know some men remove the liner from them to make it more obvious? Some even wear them because it shows off their bulge! I won't mention any names. . .
Seriously, it's the curse of speedos. Some of us use it to our advantage, while some just accept that it happens. Those who are not comfortable with this should not wear them, those that don't like how they look on others shouldn't look. They're no more revealing than many of the bikinis some women wear to the beach, pool, etc.

Because they don't care? I assume men wear them for three reasons:
-They do swim racing - the 'non speedos' create a ton of drag.
-They grew up with them and don't like the feeling of wearing waterlogged shorts when they get out of a pool.
-They grew up with them and think they look normal.
It really is just what you're used to. Consider what is regarded as a 'normal' women's bathing suit - three small triangles of fabric with string between them. Has anyone else noticed that over the years, women's suits are getting smaller, and men's bigger? I imagine 30 years from now women in north america will swim wearing nothing but a belt, men will meanwhile wear full wetsuits - once they come out with baggy wetsuits, of course.

Part of being male is having a penis and "the package" as it is now called is visible with all types of clothing. There is nothing nasty about this it just is. Men or boys should not be self conscious about it. As for speedos maybe he likes the way they fit. almost like being naked. however girls where bikinis that don't cover much soooooooooooo.

i have a rather long and wide organ which i like to let the ladies know i have. if women can wear thongs and revealing bra-like tops, why can't a man accentuate his assets. also, i grew up in a family of 6 brothers, including me. My mother would yearly buy our bathing suits (like Speedos) and we paid little attention to the style. Wearing brief underwear, and felling comfortable in them, it appears logical that a similar style bathing suit would follow. I don't wear boxers and don't feel comfortable with all my male parts dangling around as i walk.

I saw a man in his later years do this at a public pool over the summer. It was disgusting. My 3 (almost 4 yr old) was asking questions about what was in his bathing suit poking out. I was ticked to say the least. Keep speedos in your own backyard or among adults at least. I think they are indecent and should be banned from public pools where children are present. My children's father would wear more in front of our children.....I think every other man should have the same respect. BTW for guys that think it is sexy.....WRONG! It is nasty.
