same here... I was wondering too. He is a really good broadcaster and it's not the same with out him!!

He doesn't go on all of the road trips, I think it may have something to do with his radio show. There are certain trips with certain announcers. Murcer will generally do west and central games. Singleton always does Baltimore and Toronto(he lives in Baltimore and has a son in the Toronto system). Kaat doesn't travel much either and Leiter is wherever they stick him. Kay does most of the games and is always at the primo ones (ie:Boston), sometimes O'Neill joins him for those. Flahrety, haven't figured that one out yet...think he's just a fill in when not doing post game.

Its a blessing without Michael Kay hes god awful, but i personally believe it has to deal with his talk show that he has on ESPN Radio in New york thats 4 to 7 so i guess he cant always be m issing it be going to yankee away games and home games

omg i was wondering that same thing too ...today i just said the same thing no lie..i have no idea maybe somethin happen to him...cause it doesnt get as excited when he says "goin deep right field guerrero looking back track wall SEE YA a three-run home run for jason giambi an the yankees take the lead 7-3"..hehe

I just think He taking time off and he didn't feel like going out west. It seems like he has more off days this year than other years. He is alive though, he just answered the questions on www.yesnetwork.com

cuz he might be the worst announcer ever the guy knows nothing about baseball he thinks that the infield shift is named after giambi hey idiot they did that shift for ted williams first b4 giabi was even born.
