John Elway, Denver Broncos.
Took his team to 5 Superbowls, only won two, back-to-back. Has the most wins of any QB ever and is high on the list for every stat a QB wants to have. He's behind Dan Marino on most of the stats, Marino was a stellar QB.
Active QB? I would say Payton, he is fun to watch.
