Word of mouth. Tell your friends that love to gossip that your friend isn't your boyfriend, your just friends. Eventually it will spread around the school and your reputation will be saved.
But while it's spreading, you have a bit of time to clear things up with his girlfriend. Tell her the truth and be honest. And talk to your friend, who is a boy, about this. If his girlfriend doesn't believe you, then she will probably believe her boyfriend.
:-)

Think of what may have caused them to think you're to blame for their problems. If they're exaggerating, and you trully had no intention to become more than friends with this guy nor did you act like you had, ignore them, and if they talk to you about this, explain it to them. But them knowing the truth it's not that important, let them gossip, just make sure your friend knows the truth. Also, if there were moments when you were a little "too friendly" with him, understand that some people may not comprehend how 2 persons of the same sex can be this close, so bare the consequences. But if you still really want to stop thiese gossips, talk to his girlfriend. If she will understand, she'll proabably share the discussions you 2 had with her friends, and soon everyone will forget about it.

well my opinion is that what ever problems he has with his girlfriend is between him and her. you should be a friend and listen. the reason that i say that is because we all have to make up our own mind as to what we are going to do with our life. that way we can not blame anybody but our self. because sometimes we listen to people then we wish we had did something different. then it is to late, the damage is already done. you can not change it. your decision is stuck in concrete.

First of all, please buy yourself a dictionary.
Secondly, leave this guy alone. Let him work out whatever he needs to with his girl. By allowing him to run to you when things get tough he is never going to be able to communicate with his girl and work things out. Stop being his seconds.

Honestly, excuse yourself from the friendship and their relationship for a period of time. Let them heal theirselves.
