i discovered this problem on a very hot day. could it be because of the temperature? maybe the cd and/or machine became glued together? i hit the eject button, the display reads eject, but the cd does not eject.

buy a new cd player and cd...or listen to the same cd in your car forever

first; take cd player out of car.
second; take apart cd player to remove cd
third; safetly return cd to secure location
fourth; grab a bat
fifth; beat the living hell out of the cd player for trying to eat ur cd for a snack.

pull the player out of the dash and take apart to recover cd
